  • Member of the team which received citation from DG, CSIR, for the design of cyclone shelter (23 cyclone shelters constructed at Orissa saved about 46,000 people during Orissa Super Cyclone in October 1999), a project funded by Indian Red Cross Society in collaboration with KfW, Germany.
  • As a member of Wind Engineering team, received the prestigious CSIR–Technology Shield in the year 2000, and received Certificate of Merit for scientific and technical contribution.
  • Member of the Wind Engineering Group which has won the “A.S. Arya – University of Roorkee, Disaster Prevention Award 2000”.
  • Honoured as UNDP fellow during the year 1992 – 1993, under SERC-UNDP Project on Engineering of Structures for Mitigating Damage due to Cyclones (IND/91/011) – visited USA, Canada and UK under the fellowship.
  • Awarded Certificate of Appreciation for the scientific contribution as a Member of the Wind Engineering Group of SERC, Madras which has won the CSIR shield for engineering technology for the year 2000.
