  • identifying areas requiring seismic microzonation
  • rational identification of multi-hazard prone regions
  • incorporation of earthquake resistant design features in design provisions for new structures and, for strengthening and seismic retrofitting of existing structures in earthquake-prone areas
  • allocation of funds for disaster mitigation, disaster preparedness and capacity building
