Development of heavy density grout with and without micro steel fibres for end shield grouting and evaluation of capacity of anchor bolt under shear at KAPP 3
Evaluation of strength capacity of anchor bolt under shear (three types of bolts, namely straight bolt, J-bolt, L-bolt). Three specimens for each series will be tested and average results will be reported using 2500 kN servo controlled UTM.
Client :
NPCIL, Kakrapar Atomic Power Project
Scope of the project:
- Development of heavy density grout for end shield grouting by using heavy density sand with and without micro steel fibres (minimum compressive strength of 35MPa, minimum split tensile strength of 3.5MPa, and minimum density of 2900 kg/m3)
- Evaluation of following properties of heavy density grout with and without steel microfibers (three types of fibres and two volume fraction of fibres were used)
- Compressive strength at 3,7,28 days (as per ASTM C469-12)
- Split tensile strength at 3,7,28 days (as per ASTM C496-12)
- Flow characteristic flow funnel test(as per ASTM C939-12)
Flexural tensile strength at 28 days (as per ASTM C348-08)
Fresh concrete density and hardened concrete density (as per ASTM C138-12 and ASTM C642-12)
