A creche and day care facility is established at CSIR-SERC & CMC campus, Chennai and inaugurated on 15th August, 2025 by the Director Dr. N. Anandavalli. The Creche and Day Care centre is bright and located in the ground floor, child accessible and closer to main entrance and security office to ensure safety of children. Crèche has two spacious rooms with Air conditioners to facilitate children to play, learn and rest. Creche has a Pantry equipped with Microwave oven, Induction stove and Fridge to keep the food healthy and tasty. The Crèche has a safe and potable drinking water source with a water purifier installed. Creche has a spacious washroom with geyser. For indoor entertainment, creche has collection of toys and learning kits for the children to play and learn. Furniture and play equipments are provided at the crèche to be appropriate to the age and number of children. Toys provided are sturdy, safe, with no sharp edges and easy to maintain. Rubber mats are also provided on the floor to avoid any injuries while the kids enjoy the play.
